Fruits and flowers 15–40 per head, ± sessile. Leaves hairy; reniform to orbicular-cordate, 1–4 cm wide; margins dentate to crenate; lobes obtuse, shallow to deeply 5–7-lobed. Stipules ciliate with red markings. Petals yellow may have red markings, as wide as fruit at time of flowering. Fruit flattened with area between ribs convex often with red markings. Stems prostrate.
