Small herbs, creeping and rooting at the nodes or sometimes ascending or erect. Leaves petiolate, orbicular to cordate in outline, entire or deeply divided; stipules scarious ± adnate to the petiole. Flowers minute, in simple axillary umbels or heads. Involucral bracts inconspicuous or absent. Sepals inconspicuous. Petals straight at the apex, acute, white, pink or yellowish. Fruit compressed laterally; mericarps 5-ribbed.
