Leaves orbicular, 1–2 mm diam. on slender petioles; stipules whitish, membranous, deeply incised, enclosing the central bud in resting stage in dry summers. Petals white. Whole plant c. 12 mm diam. Wet soil in open. Fl. spring–summer. Coast and adjacent plateaus and Cumberland Plain near coast
