Small, prostrate or creeping perennial herb, much branched, rooting at the nodes. glabrous. Leaves opposite, margins entire to sinuate, almost sessile. Flowers solitary or in pairs in leaf axils. Sepals 5, 3 broad, 2 narrow. Corolla weakly 2-lipped, upper lip 2-lobed lower lip with 3 segments. Stamens 4. Stigma 2-lobed. Fruit a capsule surrounded by the persistent calyx.
