Leaves linear, 1–2 cm long, with revolute margins, glabrous or hoary tomentose underneath. Heads in a dense terminal corymb. Involucre globular or broadly campanulate, 2–3 mm diam.; bracts broad, opaque, white or tinged with pink, without a spreading limb. Cypselas glabrous or papillose, 1 mm long. Pappus hairs 2–3 mm long. Shrub up to 5 m high. Widespread. Tall forests, especially on shales. Fl. chiefly spring Ozothamnus diosmifolius
