Petals erect held within the dorsal sepal. Labellum less than half as long as ovary. Flowers crowded, green.
Calli at the base of the labellum not united. Petals 2 mm long. Labellum 1–3 mm long, emarginate. Lateral sepals reflexed or rolled. Ovary Plant 15–60 cm high. Widespread. Chiefly in grassland. Fl. Sept.–Nov. Common Onion Orchid Microtis unifolia
