Leaves equally 5–7-veined (sometimes obscurely so), lanceolate to suborbicular, 5–15 mm long, 4–5 mm wide. Flowers arranged in spikes 15–40 mm long. Stamens yellow; claws very short. Capsule c. 4 mm diam., with an undulate orifice. Shrub up to 2 m high, with corky bark. Coast; Woronora Plateau. Wet heath. Fl. summer Melaleuca squarrosa
