Leaves concave, often keeled, 13–45 mm long, 1–3 mm wide. Staminal claw 8–15 mm long; filaments arranged along the side of the claw. Capsule c. 3 mm diam. Tree up to 10 m high, with papery bark. Coast and adjacent plateaus; lower Blue Mts Wet places on shales. Fl. spring–summer Melaleuca linariifolia
Leaves ± channelled above, presenting a convex surface on either side of the midrib, up to 18 mm long, c. 3 mm wide. Staminal claw less than 4 mm long; filaments attached terminally. Capsule c. 3 mm diam. Shrub or small tree with papery bark. Coast, e.g. Gosford district. Wet places. Vulnerable. Fl. summer Melaleuca biconvexa
