Inner involucral bracts bright yellow at the tip. Involucre c. 1 mm diam. Heads in a dense corymb up to 12 cm diam. Leaves linear to elliptic, up to 7 cm long and 5 mm wide, entire; upper surface dark green, ± glabrous. Florets 5–6. Shrub up to 2 m high. Widespread. Open forests and heath. Fl. spring–summer Cassinia aureonitens
