Xanthorrhoea macronema
Scape c. 10 times as long as the spike, up to 2 m long. Spike brush-like with prominent inner perianth segments 8–10 mm long and stamens c. 10 mm long. Leaves up to 1.5 m long, 2–4 mm wide, glossy, triangular in cross-section, scabrid on the margins. Stem buried. Coast and adjacent plateaus. Fl. summer
