Stolon-like branches absent or rare. Cypselas with wings or marginal ribs narrower than the body of the cypsela. Leaves up to 10 cm long, forming a dense tuft, twice or thrice pinnatisect, with linear lobes, glabrous or with soft hairs. Heads usually clustered amongst the leaves.
