Sloanea australis (Benth.) F.Muell.

Tree. Leaves obovate-oblong, 10–30 cm long, narrowed towards the base but expanded just above, cordate, coriaceous, ± sinuate-toothed. Flowers cream, 20–25 mm diam., solitary or in short racemes, pendulous, axillary, on slender peduncles. Sepals pubescent, obovate-oblong, c. 8 mm long. Capsule opening by 4 woody valves, c. 12 mm long, densely covered with short soft bristles. Coast. RF. Fl. spring–summer. Maiden’s Blush
