Plants prostrate to decumbent with a stout rootstock. Leaves orbicular to obovate, often cordate, serrato-crenate with large teeth. Calyx c. 4 mm long, broad and spreading under the ripe fruit. Petals longer than the calyx. Mericarps 6–10, without awns wrinkled on back. Widespread but not common
