Senecio prenanthoides A.Rich.

Cypselas more than 2.8 mm long. Leaves narrow oblanceolate 6–17 cm long, 2–6 mm wide, attenuate at base, both surfaces with coarse multicellular hairs; lower surface often purple. Heads numerous on terminal corymbs. Involucre 6–9 mm long, 1.4–1.5 mm diam., bracts 8–13. Florets 15–35. Fruiting heads 2–2.5 mm diam., involucre bracts reflexed. Pappus 6–8 mm long, erect herb to 50 cm high. Widespread. Forest. Fl. spring–autumn.
