Glabrous shrub or small tree. Leaves alternate, ovate to lanceolate or rhomboidal 3–7 cm long, entire or distantly angular, obscurely 3-veined, smooth, shining. Flowers bisexual, very small, in short axillary racemes, sometimes forming a terminal panicle. Calyx 4-lobed. Petals 4, white, deciduous. Stamens many with slender filaments. Ovary superior, 1-locular; placentas parietal. Fruit a globular berry, c. 12 mm diam. Coast and gullies in adjacent plateaus. In or near RF. Fl. spring. Flintwood
