Pubescent shrub or small tree, tomentum often rusty on young stems and leaves. Leaves ovate to elliptic or oblong, 6–10 cm long, narrowed into a petiole; stipules caducous. Flowers sessile in small clusters in a loose terminal corymb. Fruit drupaceous, yellowish white, c. 6 mm diam; endocarp longitudinally ribbed. Coast and adjacent plateaus; lower Blue Mts RF and WSF.
