Shrub 2–3 m high. Leaves pinnate; leaflets 3–5 pairs, linear, acute, sprinkled with glands which may appear as black dots. Flowers 12 mm long, axillary, solitary, with a pair of bracts 1 mm long at the base of the peduncle. Corolla blue or purple. Ovule solitary. Fruit c. as long as the calyx, indehiscent.
