Both lips of the calyx broad; the lower slightly exceeding the upper. Corolla 6–8 mm long, lilac. Leaves 3–20 mm long, with recurved margins, bullate-rugose. More densely hairy and more robust in all its parts than P. violacea with which some small-leaved forms of it may be confused. Erect, aromatic shrub to 2.5 m high. Nepean River and Blue Mts Open forests. Fl. spring
