Leaves, densely hairy, cordate to ovate-lanceolate, ± succulent, 10–15 mm long, almost sessile, strongly recurved, often crowded towards the end of branches. Branch hairs spreading. Calyx c. 5 mm long. Corolla mauve, 12–15 mm long. Erect, compact, aromatic shrub up to 2 m high. Coast. DSF and heath. Headlands and ranges near the coast. Fl. chiefly spring
