Erect, perennial herb with thick root stock. Leaves 5–7-palmate, pubescent; leaflets oblong, 2–10 cm long, 1–2 cm wide, serrate, ± truncate. Flowers in terminal much branched cymes, 20–25 mm diam. Sepals 5, glandular pubescent and villous. Petals 5, yellow. Carpels rugose. Receptacle ± swollen. Naturalized in the Moss Vale district. Introd. from Europe
