Secondary veins on lower surface obscure. Leaves 1–2 cm long, 1.5–5 mm wide, margins recurved, occasionally revolute, glabrous and smooth on upper surface, lowers surface villous with simple and stellate hairs. Flowers cream, in terminal panicles. Capsule and ovary pubescent with simple hairs. Shrub to 3 m, young shoots with grey to rusty simple hairs over stellate hairs. Heath and shrubland.
