Flowers in racemes arranged in a large panicle. Leaves bipinnate (or pinnate on some flowering shoots), up to 1 m long; leaflets opposite, ovate, acuminate, coriaceous, 5–10 cm long, entire; rhachis articulate. Tree up to 30 m high with few branches. Coast and gullies in adjacent plateaus. RF. Fl. winter. Celery Wood or Silver Basswood
