Pleurosorus Fée

Rhizome short, tufted, densely clothed with narrow, clathrate, purplish brown scales. Lamina 1-pinnate to bipinnate thinly coriaceous to coriaceous, 4–12 cm long, 1.5–4 cm broad, with 1-lobed, fan-shaped pinnules. Veins free, flabellate. Sori exindusiate, broadly to narrowly oblong, sometimes confluent in age and covering the lower surface, borne along divergent veinlets, 2–5 mm long, 1–1.5 mm broad. Spores bilateral, orbicular-oblong, black, with a reticulate, broadly winged perispore. On hillside in dry areas, usually under boulders or in rock crevices
