Pittosporaceae

Trees, shrubs or twiners. Leaves alternate, without stipules. Flowers regular, bisexual. Sepals and petals 5, imbricate. Stamens 5, alternating with the petals, free, hypogynous. Ovary superior, 2–5-locular; placentas axile or parietal; style simple. Fruit a capsule or berry. Seeds several per loculus. 7 gen., all Australia except Pittosporum which extends to Africa, Asia and Oceania.
