Rhizome thick, 8 – 15 (30) mm diam., densely covered with golden-brown scales. Lamina bright green to glaucous, arching deeply lobed c. 40 cm long. Sori circular, in rows either side of the midrib. Epiphytic in its natural habitat it is recorded as growing as a ground cover in the Vaucluse area. Introd. from Central and South America. Rabbits-foot fern
