Shrub glabrous or with simple hairs. Leaves alternate, simple, margins sometimes crenulate, 1–veined from base. Flowers in axillary or terminal clusters of solitary. Petals and sepals 5 occasionally 4. Petals mauve, pink or white. Stamens 10, filaments hairy. Fruit with 1–5 cocci.(N.B. some of the following species were previously known as Eriostemon)
