Leaves glabrous or nearly so, linear, 3–4 cm long, c. 1 mm wide, bluntly denticulate, blistered. Heads numerous pedunculate, in terminal compound corymbs. Ray florets 15–22, white. Cypselas silky. Shrub up to 2 m high. Blue Mts Swamps; creek banks. Fl. summer–winter
