Tall shrub or small tree. Stems without warts. Leaves oblong-lanceolate to elliptic, 3–10 cm long, 10–22 mm wide, flat, silvery white underneath. Flowers mostly in axillary corymbs on short thick scaly peduncles. Calyx lobed, very small. Petals 5, imbricate, white 4–5 mm long. Fruiting carpel with a very short beak. Widespread. Gullies on Ss. Fl. spring
