Woody climber. Leaves oblong-lanceolate to almost ovate, acuminate, 3–17 cm long, glabrous. Peduncles slender, paired at the ends of the branches, each with a small head of usually 6–12 basally united flowers. Corolla white, 5–8 mm long; tube narrow, usually shorter than the lobes. Fruit a compound berry, irregularly globular, 6–14 mm diam., yellowish or reddish. Widespread. WSF and RF. Fl. spring–summer
