Two well developed leaves from the base of the stem. Flowers pink, yellow or white with triangular yellow nectary guides dotted with green in centre. Staminal tube swollen and pubescent at base; anthers c. 2 mm long. Pasture, roadsides and disturbed areas. Introd. from S. Africa. Fl. summer. Two-leaved Cape Tulip
