Slender, erect annual 20–50 cm high, glandular hairy in the upper part. Leaves lanceolate to linear, 25–50 mm long; the lower ones opposite; the upper ones alternate. Flowers subsessile, solitary in the axils of the upper leaves in a leafy raceme, Calyx segments 5, linear. Corolla pink, pouched at the base, 10–15 mm long. Coast. Naturalized in moist situations.
