Mirbelia speciosa Sieber ex DC.speciosa

Calyx 6–8 mm long. Erect shrub up to 1 m high. Leaves narrow-linear, obtuse or almost pungent, scarcely reticulate; margins closely revolute. Corolla reddish-purple, drying pale purple or bluish. Flowers almost sessile in the upper axils, forming a terminal interrupted spike leafy at the base. Ovules c. 12. Legume thick, ovoid, 8 mm long. Loftus to Appin; north of Hawkesbury River; Blue Mts Heath and DSF. Ss. Fl. winter–spring
