Melodinus australis (F.Muell.) Pierre

Tall, woody climber. Leaves opposite, elliptic to oblong, often sessile, glabrous, 5–10 cm long. Calyx segments small, very obtuse. Corolla yellow; the tube c. 4 mm long; the lobes spreading, c. half as long as the tube. Anthers wholly enclosed in the corolla tube. Fruit a berry, ovoid, c. 5 cm long. Seeds enveloped in pulp, ovate, compressed, c. 6 mm long. Coast and adjacent plateaus. RF. Fl. summer–autumn
