Woody, often tall, glabrous climber with twining branches. Leaves elliptic, up to 6 cm long and 2 cm wide, obscurely dentate to sinuate, often with 3-partite tendrils. Flowers in loose terminal or axillary panicles. Corolla yellow; the tube c. 5 cm long. Capsule narrow-oblong, up to 45 cm long. Seed winged on 2 sides. Coast. Weed in RF, WSF and gullies. Introd. from America. Fl. spring–summer. Cat’s Claw Creeper
