Lomandra longifolia Labill.

Leaves 8–14 mm wide, very rarely less, 2–3-toothed at the apex, up to 80 cm long, flat, glossy, with few or no shreds at the base. Male inflorescence a panicle of clusters. Female inflorescence ± similar. Male flowers ± cylindrical, often purplish, 3–4 mm long; inner perianth segments connate. Female flowers slightly shorter. Tufted plants up to 1 m high. Widespread in a variety of situations particularly on sandy soils
