Leaves lanceolate to linear, 4–17 mm long, 0.5–2 mm wide, rigid, tapering to a pungent point, very distinctly 3-ribbed on lower surface, varying in size and shape in different districts. Flowers numerous, in short dense racemes. Corolla tube 2–3 mm long, pink to white. Fruit white or greenish, up to 3 mm long. Rigid, heath-like shrub c. 50 cm high. Widespread. Heath and DSF. Sandy soils; laterites. Fl. spring–summer
