Lepidosperma neesii
Stylar base on nut rounded. Culms terete, 1–2 mm wide, 1 or sometimes 2-grooved. Leaves c. 1 mm wide, usually shorter than the culms. Panicles 2–7 cm long. Spikelets few, sessile on an almost straight rhachis which is hidden by them. Perianth scales very small, broad-obovate, tending to be connate. Widespread. Damp, sandy soils
