Lepidosperma laterale
Panicles linear, erect to spreading, not very compound, 6–20 cm long. Spikelets c. 5 mm long. Nut shining, greyish. Perianth scales lanceolate to ovate-acuminate, all ± the same length but the inner ones ± broader. Culms up to 100 cm high. Leaves often as long as the culms, 3–5 mm wide. Widespread. Sandy soils
