Stylar base on nut elongated, half as long to equaling nut. Culms 1–1.5 mm wide, oval in cross section with a groove on each surface. Leaves to 1.5 mm wide, slightly shorter than culms. Panicles 5–7 cm long. Spikelets ± numerous. Perianth scales c. three quarters the length of nut, including bristle at apex. Damp areas. Ss. cliffs. Blue Mts Vulnerable
