Shrub up to c. 3 m high. Leaves reduced to minute scales. Branchlets angular, sometimes winged, often drooping, greyish in appearance due to fine hairs. Flowers in terminal racemes. Calyx deeply 5-lobed, valvate in bud. Petals 6–8 mm long, orange-yellow. Legume oblong, hairy, 8–12 mm long. Coast and adjacent plateaus; lower Blue Mts Usually in the open in DSF on lateritic sediments. Fl. summer. Dogwood
