Leaf segments rarely more than 6 cm and sometimes less than 3 cm long, cuneate, entire to toothed or lobed, glabrous or sprinkled with a few hairs; leaf bases entire. Peduncles shorter than the leaves; flowers few, nearly sessile, greenish or yellowish. Stems creeping, rooting at the nodes. Widespread.
