Hibiscus splendens
Petals pink, c. 7 cm long. Leaves entire, crenate or 3–5-lobed, 3–15 cm long, densely pubescent. Stems pubescent and with prickles. Pedicel articulate above the base. Capsule 20 mm long. Shrub or small tree up to 6 m high. Coast and adjacent plateaus. Open forest. Fl. spring–summer
