Undersurface of leaves covered with ± appressed silky usually brownish hairs. Branchlets angular, silky hairy. Leaves serrate or rarely entire, the teeth scarcely reaching halfway to the midrib, 10–25 cm long, 15–20 mm wide. Shrub 2–5 m high. Blue Mts; Cumberland Plain; Woronora Plateau. Banks of gullies or creeks. Fl. spring
