Goodia lotifolia Salisb.

Shrub up to 3 m high, glabrous or the young shoots pubescent or glaucous. Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets ovate or cuneate-ovate, entire, 12–18 mm long. Flowers c. 1 cm long, in loose terminal or leaf-oppossed racemes. Calyx 5–6 mm long; upper lobes united into a 2-toothed lip; lower lobes narrow, c. as long as the tube. Corolla yellow and red. Stamens connate into a tube open on the upper side; anthers versatile, alternately long and short. Legume 2–3 cm long, c. 1 cm wide, on a slender stipe. Widespread in forests but not common. Fl. spring
