Gnaphalium polycaulon Pers.

Erect to ascending annual up to 15 cm high. Stems grey-green and cottony. Leaves oblanceolate, up to 5 cm long and 10 mm wide, cottony. Heads in axillary clusters arranged in a panicle Involucral bracts with broad scarious tips; involucre 2–3 mm diam. Outer florets filiform, female, in 2 or more rows; inner florets tubular. Cypselas oblong to obovate with imbricate papillae. Pappus of capillary hairs Western Blue Mts Moist places; creek banks. Fl. spring–summer
