Erect, perennial herbs up to 1 m high. Leaves mostly radical, ovate in outline, pinnate or pinnate-lobed; leaflets irregularly deeply serrate; stipules leafy. Flowers in a terminal cyme. Petals 5, yellow. Fruiting achenes with a persistent hooked style surrounded by the persistent calyx. Naturalized on the Coast in the south of the area and Woronora Plateau. Introd. from Europe
