Eucalyptus viminalis Labill.

Juvenile and sucker leaves (usually procurable from shoots from damaged parts of mature trees) lanceolate, green, up to 3 cm wide. Tree up to 40nm high. Bark smooth or some rough bark present at base, usually with ribbons hanging on the trunk or caught in the branches. Adult leaves 11–18 x 1.5–2 cm. Lateral veins irregular; angle 30–50°; intramarginal vein 1–2 mm from margin. Twigs usually green or yellowish. Peduncles terete, 3–6 mm long. Operculum conical or hemispherical, c. as long as the floral tube. Fruit sessile or shortly pedicellate, ovoid to hemispherical, 5–6 x 7–8 mm; disc prominent, convex or domed; valves exserted.
