Eucalyptus smithii R.T.Baker

Large branches smooth; bark deeply furrowed, intermediate between an ironbark and a stringybark. Juvenile leaves pale green. Adult leaves 10–16 x 1–2 cm. Umbels 7–11-flowered; peduncles flattened or angular, 5–12 mm long. Operculum conical, c. as long as the floral tube. Mallee or tree up to 40 m high. Southern parts of the area. WSF on deep soils.
