Operculum longer than the floral tube, acutely conical or beaked. Tree up to 25 m high, usually with a straight trunk. Bark stringy throughout. Leaves 7–12 x 1.5–2 cm; lateral veins irregular; angle 20–40°; intramarginal vein mostly c. 2 mm from the margin. Umbels axillary or in a terminal panicle, 7–15-flowered; peduncles compressed or almost terete, 10–15 mm long. Western parts of the region. DSF. Fl. summer. Red Stringybark
