Adult leaves 2–6 x 1–1.7 cm; juvenile leaves oblong or elliptic to almost cordate. Shrub up to 4 m high (rarely a small tree). Bark stringy on main stems, flaky or rarely smooth on smaller branches. Umbels 7–15-flowered; peduncles compressed, 4–5 mm long. Operculum hemispherical, shorter than the floral tube. Fruit mostly c. 5 mm diam., hemispherical, sessile, crowded into globular heads; disc convex; valves enclosed. Highlands of Illawarra; Blue Mts Fl. early winter. Privet-leaved Stringybark
